spring break

troy managed to get a couple of days off over the kids spring break.
it was the best news ever!!!
So we headed to the beach and had a blast.  It was a bit chilly but we still managed to have a great time
and the kids of course managed to get in the water.  And little e had no fear and had to jump right in too.

we hit a yummy ice cream shop...

played in the waves and sand.

they had a hula show at the hotel we stayed at- which the kids thought was the
funnest thing ever since the beach always makes them think of hawaii.  it was complete with a
fire dancer.  poor dancers were freezing their bums off- it was chilly!

went to the pier

our favorite hamburger joint from our last visit to myrtle.

and mini golf...

oh and don't forget our hotels pools, magic show, an indoor bowling alley and arcade
and just fun family time.

easter morning.  i love having easter on sunday.  it was so nice to have troy home in the morning before heading to church.  the kids cruised around  rounding up their goodies and then we quickly jumped into our church clothes and enjoyed a day at church remembering the real reason for easter.
(ok lets be a little more honest- troy sat on the stand and enjoyed church.
i wanted to throw three candy crazed kids out of church because there is nothing fun about
sitting on my own and trying to keep them reverent.  so I don't actually hear anything in church.  rumor has it it was great....  So it goes :)

we love to dye...

dyeing easter eggs outside is a family favorite.  So we waited for a nice day before
heading out to dye.  We all love it because who cares if they make a mess-
its outside.  They turn it into a science experiment.  And it is so much fun.
We also picked a time when emory would be sleeping.  Some messes are too big.
well and if she spilled all their dye there would be no dyeing of easter eggs.

ward easter party

easter wouldn't be complete without a ward easter egg hunt.
this year they made it a potluck and egg hunt- it was great fun.  the kids
had a fabulous time!  from egg hunts to jump rope to play with friends.

neighborhood hunt

So many egg hunts so little time.  We kicked off the day before easter with our neighborhood easter egg hunt.  It is gets more fun each year as we know more people in the neighborhood.
The kids had a great time hunting with friends and we even convinced them to get a pic
with the easter bunny this year.   (who emory thought was the shanizzle- i thought she
would be terrified and cry- but instead we couldn't get her to leave the cozy little giant bunny)
