another tooth emergency

(the only pic I took of bradens swollen face- it doesn't do it justice, but you can tell he looks different)

Troy apparently went into the wrong speciality when it comes to braden.  we needed a
dentist in the family!!
in september braden broke a tooth when he hit his head on camiron- after 4 hours at the dentist
all the pieces were removed... it was a little on the miserable side for both he and I-
Sooo  when a little girl "took him down" on the tramp on thanksgiving and he hurt yet another tooth-
he and I were both a little on the emotional side.  Poor little guy.
We had a great thanksgiving (which I forgot to take pictures at) with a few new friends from our ward
but unfortunately b got hurt on the tramp.
turns out dentist don't work on the thanksgiving holiday because unless you are braden there aren't many tooth emergencies.  So Troy ended up taking him into work and giving him a cat scan to see if he broke any bones in his face because his face was hugely swollen and turned black and blue- this picture doesn't do it justice and i forgot to take more pics with the bruising- this only shows a little of the swelling and that he looks strange.
(on a funny note troy had to take him to the er and have them put in a request for the scan- it looks a little fishy for him to put in an order for his on son for a broken face- so when the doc asked Braden he said he got "beat up by a girl"- so that is on the official medical record of why the scan was ordered!!  soo funny- he may never live that down one day)
turns out the tooth was hit to the back, pushing the roots to the front- and breaking the bone that holds his tooth in place.  poor poor kid was really in a lot of pain from it, and the broken bone caused a lot of pain and swelling plus he was terrified of going back to the  dentist.
The dentist decided to leave it there since the bone broke, but the tooth didn't- so he now has a nice brown crooked tooth up front.  lovely.  good thing he doesn't care!
Happy Thanksgiving- may next year be a little less painful!

my thanksgiving kiddo

veterans day at the zoo

We hit the zoo on the most amazing day.  I knew I couldn't conquer this zoo on my own, it is 5 miles from one end to the other up and down hills.  it takes all day to get to the other end and then they bus you back to the parking lot!  it is huge.  so Troy actually had a day off- and we picked the perfect one for the zoo.  The leaves hadn't been changing and suddenly this was the week they all changed.  So instead of checking out the zoo, Troy and i were so amazed with the colors we couldn't even walk straight!  We loved the leaves, and the kids loved the animals.  Perfect combo!

The elephants have quite a spacious spot!

You know it is a big zoo when you have to use one of these telescopes to find the rinos!

my little big girl

Camiron loves having things of her own that she is doing. she started gymnastics and dance about 2 months ago and thinks she is a rock star. She love love loves them.  It was about impossible to take pictures of either one. He class stays to the far wall in gymnastics and their is a mommy- me class on the floor. So every time i tried to get a pic of her someone stepped in the way, or there was half the gym in the way. so here are a few that are as good as it gets :)

Her dance class is just as hard. the teacher doesn't like the parents watching because it distracts the kids- so there are windows we can watch through.  Just little high windows- so here are few through the window of her in her ballet and tap class.  She gets so excited to show me what she learned, she loves to practice at home and has been checking out ballet books and movies at the library.  funny

end of a season

he loved every minute of it.  we will miss the "gold" team.  (and something to do every saturday!)

amazing what kids will do for a sucker

I bribed the kids to take their fall pictures with some giant suckers.  We used them in the pics
and they could eat them.  they were great sports about it.
It is fun to have "fall" pictures for one.  Weird to not take their pictures on the beach though.
I have a few favs in here, but thought I would add a few with all of their outfit changes
(some picked by me- some not so much :) )

the first 2 on my very favorites....

this last one cam was throwing out poses- and one after another
looked like this. i was laughing so hard at this pose.  I have about 10 different
versions of it on my film.   she was soo proud and she loves this picture.

i might have peed a little

there is a chance i might have peed my pants a little when i found
these in the store.
I had an inner debate- share the knowledge of these two amazing
items with the others in the aisle?
Or keep it to myself for fear these limited edition items would
run out before the end of the holidays???
what to do?
I think the screaming and crying with joy led others to the purchase.
hopefully I made their holiday season just a little more minty.

halloween

Trunk or Treat
As our wards activity committee chair I was in charge of putting on
churches trunk or treat.  It turned out great- but man was I exhausted
We teamed up with the other ward who shares our building for this event
(unfortunately their chair showed in the middle of dinner for a few min- so it
turned into our ward putting on an event for their ward- ok enough complaining
i'm a little bitter on being the pregnant lady stuck with allllll the work!)
but it was a lot of fun- we kicked it off with a chili cookoff for dinner.  We had enough
chili for an army.  Troy and I will be eating chili a lot this week I guess.
Then we had carnival games for the kids, and finally the trunk or treat.

this is what a cold ninja turtle looks like...

And then we also headed to our neighborhood  party.  They had crafts and food and
the kids favorite was a little geo cashing event.  they had hidden some boxes around the woods
and the kids could pick something out of a box, but had to also leave something behind.
one kids treasure is anothers discard!  love it.

my princess looking for treasures in the woods.

the ninja can't be bothered.

*so it may seem that there are a lot of pictures with only my kids.  I have to laugh because
we just don't know enough people to take pictures with any of them.  It feels weird to have your kid
pose with a kid they barely know, after being with kids they knew for 5 years.
so i am sure one of these days we will again have others in our posts.... one of these days :)  for the time being- this really is braders and camers blog I guess!
