always a favorite

wheeler farm never gets old... especially when you live in another state and only

go there a few times a year.  So we had to hit it again this year, well maybe a few times...

we met up with ems crew and had a great time.  I love when other families have boys and girls

for my kids.   In NC there are so many boys and Cam is getting left solo a lot, so 

when she gets to hang with a girl she is pretty giddy.  

ems crew is bo, jake, ashley and ivy.  I have a feeling our kids will get along in the future!

hanging around utah

the weather and scenery is perfect in utah. 

this is how we spent a lot of the "down time" this summer...

 summer is pretty great (although exhausting as a mom!) 

24th parade floats

we joined lori, meagan and sooz to check out the floats before the 24th of july parade.  

they made it quite the festival with games, face pairing candy, balloons, and little dance groups. 

the kids had a pretty great time and I loved not having to sit through a parade to see all the 

great floats.  

genetics

Since emory was born we have been trying to figure out who she looks like.

some tell me soo much like Braden.... Some say she is all Camiron

I don't think she is either. Her baby pictures don't look like either of them.

I came across this picture of my mom when we were home.....

history utah style

They built a new utah history museum and we had a chance to

check it out.  It was really a pretty neat spot.

The whole museum features Utah things- indians, dinosaurs, copper, bugs

the kids had a great time and the view from the rooftop was amazing.

first on the utah agenda

one of my nearest and dearest friends Shannon moved to texas after we saw her last summer

and we happened to over lap by one day she we got to slc so we of course had to play!

Last summer we went to liberty park with them and the kids had an amazing day- so we decided to 

try it again. Kids happy as can be.  I wish we lived by each other our kids get along with each other perfectly!  Emory love love love the splash pad.  She was holding her own with the big kids and had her own crowd watching her run amuck.

summer mornings

I love all my kids getting to relax in the morning.

Emory thinks she is just one of the crew and loves it.

4th celebrations

Even though it is super hot in NC on the 4th- we still managed to make it fun.

The kids were so excited that this year we actually have a golf cart to ride in the parade

(much less hot than riding their bikes)

They had a great time decorating it.  

then we headed to the neighborhood picnic/ party

Each year these parties get more fun for us and the kids.  

As we get to know more people and friends in the neighborhood it is a lot more fun.

then we headed to the back swimming pool for a smaller links get together

with the Liz and kids,  Rowes, Martins and the koch crew

and of course a few fireworks in the back yard.

Camiron is terrified of real fireworks which gets us out of fighting the crowds

The kids had a great time even if it wasn't quite dark out yet 

phew.  I'm exhausted just writing about it all.

I refuse to say goodbye to these two. 

Jen and Kurt have been absolute life savers to our family since moving to NC

and now they get to leave before us... not fair.

Our whole family is going to miss them- the kids just love them and I can't

believe we don't get to see little kendrick grow up.

book club goodbyes

Being in a military town there is always so much turn over with those coming and going.

But it is always sad to say goodbye.  We had a few leaving our book club....

outdoors camp

B went to a week long outdoors camp and had the most amazing time.  

He loved every second of it.  They went swimming, did crafts, 

went for hikes, played with friends and best of all came home exhausted.  

What a great week!

some friends from the neighborhood also went- so he got to play with 

mathew, william, joshua and caroline.  

camps camps camps

the kids had an amazing time at soccer camp.

it was brutally hot out for the kids but they still managed to have a great time.  

It was a british soccer camp that came right to our neighborhood.  How perfect is that.  

Cam was in the little kids group and braden got to go to part of the little kids, and joined to big kids the second half.  They came away happy as ever and maybe with a few more skills.

(B also did a week of golf camp that I totally forgot to get any shots of.  bummer)
