4th of july extravaganza

We kicked off our 4th of July with the annual bike parade at the church. All the kids decorate their bikes and cruise around the parking lot a few times. They have a great time. The lowlights this year: Troy got called into work that morning and missed it. The highlights- the red car that Erika took both of the kids for a ride in. Braden followed her around like a puppy the whole day until he got a ride!

This was followed up by a bbq and fireworks with some friends from moms club. The kids ran around like crazy playing in a little swimming pool while the guys bbq'd.
We watched the fireworks from beach at iriquois point which was perfect. close enough to see, far enough for the little kids to not be scared. We had a great time- thanks so much heather and travis for having us over!

Great post Molly! You really look great in red, white and blue. Your whole family looks wonderfully patriotic. Wasn't the turnout great? You are SUPER MOM! Did you mention that the parade started at 8:30 AM? You deserve a medal. You were on your own and still got the children and yourself to the parade looking so crisp and put together bright and early!

Your group shot is perfect. It will look very familar to you over at the Paet blog. (Thanks)

It looks like you guys had a great time! Oh...the beach-you are so lucky. Happy Birthday to Braden. Time flies doesn't it?? Miles got Geo Trax for Christmas when he was 2 and he still plays with them! He got that same set this year to add to his collection-great toys!

Fireworks on the beach, I am so jealous. Gotta love getting called in just when a fun day is planned!
