Giving Thanks

We have so much to be Thankful for! We love our beautiful, funloving kids more than words can say.... we love all our family who are so far away.... the friends we have all over the world.... and the friends who makes us feel like family during the holidays. Here are a few pictures of our great Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is not complete without some hula, karaoke, monopoly, and the 6 hours Braden spent on the tramp. Our thanks go out to the Ohki's who take us in for all the holidays! We love you guys.

A little "Junk in the Trunk"

Camiron has a little extra padding on her tush... so I decided it was time to call in the experts.

I called up my long time friend Richard Simmons for a little expert advice on how to tone that pint size tush. Richi explained that really working out is all about fashion. As long as you are looking good, that tush will just melt away.

If you get confused on who is Richi and who is Cami- Richi has a little more hair than Cami does... although both have hair that sticks up no matter what you do. (and Cami is in the pink- not that Richi isn't on occasion).

Richi had Camiron working out in sets of four- Sit on one...

Crawl on two...

Stand on three...

Kisses on four....

After a long hard workout Richi's only advice for Camiron is that being able to walk really helps. Maybe a few more months!

Halloween Fun

I think it is funny that the "holidays" are kicked off with Halloween.... such a strange holiday- but I sure do love it.
This year Braden was a fireman. I picked the costume purely so it would be one that he could play in and think it was fun. Unfortunatly he didn't even like to wear it to trick or treat in. He loves firemen, fire trucks etc... but he does not love costumes. We coaxed him into wearing it at our church "trunk or treat", but he told me at our Moms club party, his speach party, and on Halloween- I want the party, but no costume! Didn't matter that eveyone else had one on. Uh well. But we did practice saying "trick or treat" and he was super excited that if you say that you get candy in return.
and poor Camiron... we will just say that late nights are not her thing :) but she sure did look cute!

Handing out candy at our ward trunk or treat

How could I not put up this picture of Bradens friend Jonah- I couldn't get over his costume, it was so funny, and he kept it on the whole night! What a trooper.

This one goes out to Nate... The True "Bad Boy"

So today I pulled up to a stoplight next to the "ultimate bad boy" and wished our good friend Nate could be in the car with me to witness what I saw. Next to me on a shiny green motorcycle was a guy in jeans, flip flops, no helmet, a barbwire tat around his arm, shown off nicely by the wife beater tank top he was wearing. Once I looked over at him and smiled- because I was about to laugh, he must have thought the smile was just for him and he threw me a wink!! What! Yep, got my two kids in the back and I am listening to the wiggles on the radio- but being the bad boy he is, he thinks everyone thinks he is hot. After a nice rev of the engine, he took off up the hill and mock 100 leaving me laughing and wishing Nate could have seen it all. I miss the bad boys of DC.

moms club fieldtrips

We have had a couple of great fieldtrips with moms club this month...
Braden was in heaven at the firestation tour. He got to climb in the truck, touch the truck, have a tour of the firestation, and see them put up the big ladder. He had a great time!
And we had a fun trip to the pumpkin patch. We went on a hayride and were able to pick out our own pumpkins. Braden came away with a pumpkin.... and a girlfriend. (I need to keep an eye on him!)

Island Woes

I hate having family pictures taken... but being a picture- aholic, I must get one every year. Especially since we didn't have one with Camiron in it yet. But living on an island your choices are limited- very very limited. So we have to go to Sears because there really aren't many other choices.
I had things well planned this year- the clothes, arranging a day when Troy could actually be there, a choice time when the kids would be the happiest- I know all you mothers know what I am talking about.
So you will all understand my frustration when after our "ok" photo session I send Troy home with the kids and sit down to pick out some pictures. (I even planned ahead to have Troy and I drive seperate cars so I could decide on the pictures in peace). Much to my dismay- she only took 3- yes count that on less than a hand, 3 family pictures, none of which I liked. I was sorely disappointed. She did get some cute ones of the kids on their own, but at this point there is nothing I can do, Troy and the kids are gone, the photo moment is gone for another year, and I am left with the sad decision of spending money on a large picture for my wall that I don't like. I ended up picking the one where Braden looked the best. Its all about making the kids look good right?
At this time I am jealous of all who don't live on an island :)
